I just tested wine-staging 2.0rc3 and it crashes (all default). Then with d3d11 disabled and it still crashes.
This seems to be a new regression introduced by a commit c0f77b4a4a2a389f54c3572156883eec6d6314d2. I've filed a new bug (bug 42154).
