to reply to your question in comment #52 : i have an original game, but i use a "no_cd" crack because the copy protection used to crashed wine by the time i installed the game.
I ran the game with your "Check for mapped buffers in preload" patch and have been kicked out as soon as i entered the map, the last log message being : "err:d3d:buffer_PreLoad PreLoading mapped buffer!!!"
Shall i generate the "+d3d,+tid,+seh" backtrace with the above patch in place or without it?
