------- Additional Comments From russofris@hotmail.com 2007-23-03 11:22 ------- Unfortunately, neither the above tests resolved the sound stuttering problem.
Additional information.
When the stuttering occurs, it sounds like the normal variety. Sound drops out occasionally, then catches up. After a while, the stuttering increases to the point where is sounds like a loop (like a skipping cd).
Closing the application at this time will result in a lockup. Killing Gw.exe in another terminal gives the following (Attached) error:
*** glibc detected *** gw.exe: free(): invalid pointer: 0x7b226c98 *** ======= Backtrace: ========= /lib32/libc.so.6[0xf7ce6d37] /lib32/libc.so.6(__libc_free+0x7a)[0xf7ce82ff] /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2(snd_pcm_munmap+0x26e)[0x7c632bee] /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2(snd_pcm_hw_free+0x35)[0x7c627c25] /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2[0x7c642b2d] /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2(snd_pcm_hw_free+0x4d)[0x7c627c3d] /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2(snd_pcm_close+0xad)[0x7c62880d] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/winealsa.drv.so(ALSA_wodMessage+0xebe)[0x7c6e3dc8] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/winmm.dll.so(MMDRV_Message+0x442)[0x7c7128b7] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/winmm.dll.so(MMDRV_Close+0x79)[0x7c712e13] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/winmm.dll.so(waveOutClose+0x4e)[0x7c724444] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/dsound.dll.so(DirectSoundDevice_Release+0x2b3)[0x7b42c8c1] /usr/bin/../lib32/wine/dsound.dll.so[0x7b42f05c]
