Is this still an issue in current wine?
yes. I found that I could install to my winblows xp viurtual machine 9VirtualBox 1.4), then using copy paste I could tell wine how to start TaxCut 2007 via the command line from the winblows desktop icon The first screen comes up and then the program freezes.
