I fully agree and I wouldn't raise this issue if the dll wouldn't work at all.
The question for me is why did the dll work perfectly fine with Steam versions before Aug 19 and why does the dll work perfectly fine with the standalone version of Fallout 3? The dll only causes a crash with the Steam version of Fallout 3 and only with Steam versions from Aug 19 and later.
From that evidence it seems obvious that it was triggered by a change in Steam.
