All those extra threads seem to come from unix side, at least WINEDEBUG=thread
seems silent.

In GST_DEBUG shortly before freeze, there are beauties like:

4786:gst_decode_bin_expose:decodebin36:src_0 added new decoded pad

That's quite high, given that I doubt there are more than 8 streams at any
given time.

Yet the point remains that disabling winegstreamer doesn't fully cover the
problem, so it seems to happen deeper...

Yet, my best other guess - amstream - doesn't print anything obvious and
mmdevapi looks clean.
