Hello,
I tried with RGS with plain wine 6.20/6.21 + tkg-staging-6.21. I launch a Steam game which use RGS with Proton Experimental and i have the same issue.
With plain wine + Proton on Steam, RGS hangs before to show the Launcher (like on the screenshot).
With wined3d opengl renderer, i have this error : 0350:err:d3d:wined3d_context_gl_set_pixel_format wglSetPixelFormatWINE failed to set pixel format 5 on device context 0x20052. 0350:fixme:d3d:swapchain_blit_gdi Using GDI present.
With vulkan renderer, i have this error : 4135.942:028c:0290:err:vulkan:X11DRV_vkCreateWin32SurfaceKHR Failed to allocate client window for hwnd=0x100c0
I precise that for my wine version, i applied Remi's patch from https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45277
I suspect a RGS update since the GTA Trilogy Remastered release, it worked without problem. And i don't think it's a problem with my system and/or wine, all my applications (EA Origin/Galaxy) and games still work.
How to reproduce : 1- Download and install 2- Launch
