I'm having the same problem. Wine version 1.1.42, Ubuntu 10.04, intel 2.9 driver. The game starts ok but then freezes after a few seconds. I tried using the 'emulate virtual desktop' option but it did not make a difference. I attached a debug log.
Last report 2010. Download dead.
