configure &&  make diff

I built with nearly the same options. I used a prefix. The differences are due
to multithreaded build and the prefix.

The only buildsys difference seems to be:
checking lex library... none needed
checking whether yytext is a pointer... no

The problem may not be the build system, but it may be the hardware, which
triggers a different code path?

I'm running on an i5-520UM (which has a GMA HD).
