I also recommend changing pulseaudio settings: disable shared memory usage. I think the easiest way to do it for testing is to kill 'pulseaudio' which is run in your user session and manually start it with 'pulseaudio --disable-shm=true'.
With those patches and disabling pulseaudio shared memory I could not reproduce the problem even with texture quality set to 'High' after loading every map one after another.
