Which version of TreeComp do you use?
Version 4.0b52 isn't the recent one. Could you please use the latest version v
4.0 b62 and check again?

Also:
Did you try to run TreeComp with wine's Windows version set to "Windows 8" or
below (e.g. "Windows XP"). Please report if something changes if you do so.
