Some games (like Shaya http://shaiya.aeriagames.com/ ) can change the gamma value (I don't know how exactly, but it have the same effect as using the xgamma command in Linux). When you play in windowed mode (or with dual-screen) it is really annoying (and causing eyestrain) when the gamma value is too high. There should be an option to disable the possibility for games and software to change the gamma value.
Do these games behave same same under Windows?
I have no way of trying it under Windows.
