Could you provide some more information?

What distribution are you using? What desktop environment?

Are you booting directly into Linux or are you running this inside a virtual
machine? Virtual machines can sometimes have poor mouse integration.

Is the mouse movement smooth/consistent, where the player always moves the same
distance with the same mouse movement, or does the movement tend to jump
around?

Does adjusting the mouse speed in the settings menu make any difference?

Finally, does this problem happen with any other games, or is it specific to
Audiosurf?
