--- Comment #3 from MestreLion wine@rodrigosilva.com 2011-07-02 05:59:48 CDT --- Yes, the install freezes, but it does finish its download. You can "resume" install by browsing and double-clicking in Nautilus this file:
~/.wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application Data/Skype/{D6F879CC-59D6-4D4B-AE9B-D761E48D25ED}/Skype.msi
Odd things:
- If you try to open in terminal, Wine says something about a bad .EXE format and quits. But if you browse in nautilus and double click, it opens and runs
- At first, there is a Crash dialog. But just click OK, and the program starts.
- Desktop and Menu icons ARE created. And they work
- Contact list and most of the options in GUI work. Tray icon is perfect too.
- The main tab does NOT work. It tried to open its contents in.. FireFox! Lol! Other tabs (profile, etc) works perfectly
- It didnt detect my sound card :( I have other apps in same prefix that can play sound. But Skype is mute.
Last item turned a Bronze (or silver) app into useless garbage.
