[Bug 26986] The Sims 3 blacks out the screen immediately when starting.

I used Wine to install the game the last time but I went ahead and uninstall
Playonlinux. The upgrade failed because my network dropped and the game
disappointed, so I had to start from scratch. I hope it works this time.
