What does exactly the message say that wants to install Wine_gecko?
Are you sure you using the new Wine version and that you removed ~/.wine
directory?

Please DO NOT PASTE LOGS!!! ATTACH THEM INSTEAD!!!

Also you starting the game wrong! You have to use "wine Steam -applaunch 10"

Where are you getting MOTD? What level? What server?

So far it seems like invalid bug to me.
