I don't see this helping this truncation case, according to logs. One case that
still shows up is WM_CTLCOLOR message in default procedure. Converting that
results in different Edit control background, which is probably wrong.

Another issue that could be a pre-existing issue - word selection paints black
with black text, making selected parts unreadable. I don't know what it
supposed to look like on Windows.
