Yes, I am saying from the point of view of making such a workaround.
If you give me detailed instructions then I can give it a try.
1. Run regedit.exe under wine prefix you use to run the game
2. Import attached registry file.
The card reported by wine d3d subsystem should be now NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300. I just chose the card from the list recognized by wine closest to 7000, I do not know if the game supports this particular one. Maybe some other should be selected (is there a list of supported cards somewhere)?
After your testing is finished remove registry values (those 2 in registry file) from registry if you don't want to trick all the other apps under this wine prefix.
