Pardon my ignorance, but what is the VNC?

I usually use PlayOnLinux to install my stuff, but because the Setup wasn't
loading properly in POL (nothing happening) I tried to load it from the command
line. Do you have another suggestion on how to load it and install it to the
accurate prefix?
