The usual question: is there a freely (legal !!) download of your application. Specify the version of wine you used. Test with the latest one. Currently, it is wine-5.6. If the bug still occurs, attach a console output.
Hi Joapa, thanks for your response. Upon checking online, it seems that the program is only available from second hand sources in disc format, as the company website is active, but outdated and no longer provides a link to the program. It was designed for Windows 3.1 and 95. Two years ago I contacted Maris Multimedia / Focus who told me that they would not be able or willing to revisit it to provide a fix for current win 10. I've now converted to Linux.
I installed Wine (system) 4.0 and 5.5 (5.6 isn't yet available for me), both with the same result. The version of QuickTime it is supposed to run on (2.5) refuses to install on a non-Windows OS, even via various versions of Wine e.t.c. I am not yet sure of how to produce console outputs (I am using the latest version of Linux Mint Cinnamon), so any assistance with that would be much appreciated.
Thanks again for your reply,
PS - update: Did get it working!... but I had to 'skip' the automatic Quicktime existing versions on the system search. Thank you Brian
