FWIW I think that "testing" should be just a symlink to "bookworm", as "stable" should be a symlink to "bullseye", and changing the symlinks when a new Debian version comes out. This way it would be easy to maintain, and no such errors would occur. I had expected it to be like this, but had to find out that it repeatedly broke because it is not so.
