--- Comment #7 from Jeff D. Hanson jhansonxi@gmail.com --- Xubuntu 16.04.6 x86_64, Phenom 9550, Wine (staging) 4.5, 64-bit WINEPREFIX, Nvidia 384.130 with a GeForce GTX 750 Ti, dual monitors (1280x1024 and 1920x1080, 3200x1080 screen size; playing on 1280x1024)
Installs, starts, shows splash screens, attempt to play video (…/Konami/Shadow Of Memories Demo/works/conv/video/open_e.mpg) but only shows black screen (no MPEG-1 splitting support on this system due to package conflicts). Esc to continue to main menu (also required when quitting during gameplay). Graphics setting submenu hangs. All other menus seem to function normally. Game starts and plays normally and sound effects are present but there is no multimedia audio (WMA files) during conversations.
Native quartz guarantees a hang when video attempts to play.
The problems that I encountered previously when starting a new game (bug #44276) seem to be absent on this system. I'll have to try it on a 32-bit system with functional MPEG splitting to verify.
