--- Comment #6 from GyB gyebro69@gmail.com 2012-03-16 10:03:34 CDT --- I can reproduce the problem on my system (Fedora 16 + Nvidia 250 + driver 290.10). The game hangs early after starting, during the opening video. I tested with the demo version as well as with the full version of the game v1.24.
Indeed, this is a regression. The last working version: 1.3.24.

Attachment #38991 (in bug #27879) fixes the problem and the game loads to the main menu correctly. This is probably a dupe of bug #27879.
