--- Comment #19 from Ken Sharp kennybobs@o2.co.uk 2009-03-04 18:43:28 --- There are loads of "failed to copy" messages during install with the final ones being: err:msi:copy_package_to_temp failed to copy package L"DhtmlEd.msi" fixme:msi:MSI_OpenDatabaseW open failed r = 80030002 for L"DhtmlEd.msi"
There's a difference in the Windows XP and Wine installs. A folder named "eBay" appears in ~/.wine/drive_c/ when installed with Wine, but under Windows XP this folder appears under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users. According to "wine cmd" the environment variable is set to "ALLUSERSPROFILE=C:\windows\profiles\All Users", but c:\windows\profiles isn't even created during install.
Could it be that the files simply aren't being copied to the correct place? The installer is failing to do it's job?
Of course, the app doesn't give any clues, but if you slow the process right down, you can see that the dialog box that appears very briefly actually says, "Starting Turbo Lister for the first time...".
"winetricks mdac25 msxml3" didn't help either.
Moving the eBay folder from c:\ to "c:\windows\profiles\All Users" doesn't help either.
Do we have any idea what the problem is yet?
