I don't get any error window. Also no crash dump in "Temp". The game just does not start. Client disappears for a few seconds and then reappears with the "Reconnect" button.
So maybe a different error but I can't debug this. I guess I'll just stick with Wine 5.6 then.

That's exactly the state of the game for me since 4.8, using the 32-bit vsyscall workaround variant (I haven't tried the glibc workaround).

I was once told that every League of Legends issue was known and that my issue was a dupe or something I missed, but no combination of the existing staging/workarounds/hacks did make it work past that for me. It must be another issue but I gave up with debugging that game myself. So maybe you want to file a new bug report for that.
