Summary: Wine not working with Desktop Option Product: Wine Version: CVS Platform: Other OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: wine-loader AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.com ReportedBy: syjef@mdanderson.org
This is on FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE with XFree86-4.3.0, built from the ports collection. When attempting to run windows applications using the Desktop option, the following is returned:
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x5c0d849c "loader.c: loader_section" wait timed out in thread 0x000a, blocked by 0x0009, retrying in 60 seconds WARNING: A part of the software you are running under emulation has deadlocked. This is probably due to a bug in Wine, and has occurred through no fault of your own. You may have to terminate the program at this point by pressing Ctrl-C, or it may recover and continue to run. If this problem is reproducable, please report it to the WineHQ bug tracking database at http://bugs.winehq.com/, and quote the above error code.
This happens even with the builtin notepad. I am running CVS current as of this (6/16) morning. The thread information (provided by a patch that appeared in one of the mailing lists last week) are the same for all applications I have tried.
This particular error does not happen without Desktop enabled. However, I am having other problems which are consistant for a given application, but different applications fail differently, or just simply hang without printing any error messages.
