Don't waffle on about what did and didn't work in the past, it just causes
confusion.

This isn't a regression, but is an old problem.

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.devel/54403 claims to help,
but it's two year's old and as a result, it won't patch.

Confirming for version 12.

This is apparently a transparency problem and so very likely a duplicate.
