All the more reason for Wine to request the OpenGL version conformance supported by the rendering driver, and use different D3D translation paths depending on the results. MOre than just ATI will benefit. With Mesa 7.7 released and likely included in the next set of distributions (particularly the next LTS of Ubuntu), this should probably be a Wine 1.2 must fix bug.
