Not a d3dx9 bug. This looks like an ati driver bug and not like anything we could fix.
Is this still an issue? Does this happen with other graphic cards?
I don't get this with nvidia hardware and the GOG version of the game. Overrides 'devenum', 'dxdiagn' and 'd3dx9_36' are required for the game to run.
