AVR Studio fails to install

wine-1.1.41  compiled from source
Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS

\rm -r .wine

wineprefixcreate
        it installed Gecko  (after a wait!)

WinAVR
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winavr/files/
Installed WinAVR
wine WinAVR-20100110-install.exe

seemed to install OK
