Hi,

I am hitting the same problem with 1.7.38 on OS X 10.10 built using
osxwinebuilder. VCDS 11.11.4 works fine, versions 12.12.2 and 14.10.2 crash
just as shown in the original report.

I have patching/compiling and some limited debugging known-how and can do
testing of changes/patches if required.
