Yes, correct. It was the intension that the installation fails by a failure intensionally created in CustomActions.
The issue is the following: When starting "wine unsinstaller" right after that failed installation it shows that "notation composer 3" is properly installed.
Indeed. I just tested in Windows XP and after the failed update the program is no longer in the add/remove. While in Wine it is still there.
