for me the app starts fine on a complete fresh ~/.wine doing:

rm -rf ~/.wine ( don't do that if you have valuable stuf in there, just move it
away then!!!)

wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks jet40
wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks && sh winetricks mfc42

Then run the installer and the app ittself
