Summary: Autocad and IE Product: Wine Version: 20050830 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: wine-programs AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: I-SAngeli@siriush.com
Hi, I am unable to install AutoCad because Internet Explorer is not installed / detected by wine. I started a Gentoo Forum Thread, which is: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-386592-highlight-.html I was adviced to install ies4linux.
I am at the point that Internet Explorer through ies4linux still does not install properly. So, I wish to ask two questions: 1) Is ies4linux the way to go or how to install Internet Explorer > 6.0 properly in wine so that the applications I wish to install which relies on IE gets installed? 2) If ies4linux is indeed the way to go, once IE is properly installed, how to move (if I have to for consistency) all what was installed under .wine? I would prefer having all applications installed under .wine, so that I have one Program s one system folder. This will allow me to also have all the dll files all in one plae when new apps create them.
Thank you for your support. Spiro
