can't confirm the tool crash with recent Wine 1.7.x
The installer requires 'winetricks -q mfc42' prerequisite.
Anyway, what you're trying to do won't work by design.
Wine is not an operating system and doesn't implement the "Windows kernel" infrastructure needed to support these kind of hardware driver classes.
If your Wireless hardware is not recognized by your Linux distro, you're out of luck.
As general advice: don't buy hardware which is not supported by Linux (kernel). Wine can't help you with that.
