Does 'winetricks -q comctl32' help?
I notice that you have flagged comdlg32 as the offending component.
The backtrace seemed to imply that, but your terminal output makes comctl32 look more likely. I shouldn't have set it without verifying the problem, my bad.
So yes, please try native comctl32.
