Hans, I use opensuse 10.3. With this LANG I can use basic apps, like notepad,
and then I get polish characters (thank you!) but this method fails for the app
I would like to use. The reason is (tested) that app was installed with
different LANG.

So... it works if user set LANG to the value she/he would like to see in
Windows/Wine environment, however it would be great to see this as settings in
wine. It is sufficient to set locale for Windows and wine could simply set LANG
before launching accordingly.

This way user does not have to touch to any "black magic" :-)
