--- Comment #30 from Savvy Raghuvanshi sraghuvanshi@college.harvard.edu --- After messing around for a couple hours (and borking then un-borking my Windows 10 partition) I figured out how to get Witcher 3 to use the wined3d dll files: Unpack the x64 version of the dlls into the bin/x64 folder, and set witcher3.exe to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode. I was able to confirm using Process Monitor that the native version of the dlls are never called.
This gave me much worse performance than even in Wine-staging 2.19 on Arch Linux. In Windows, on my y700 laptop with a 4GB GTX 960m, the GPU was 60-80% usage and CPU was about 22-25% usage. However, I was only getting ~3-6 FPS in the game, and there were texture issues (like Geralt's hair being completely black, or missing).
