Could this may be because Microsoft has gotten smarter with their products? Because the setup says the following:
"To get Windows Media Player 11, you must verify that Microsoft(R) Windows(R) is genuine. After successful validation your system will have access to the latest features, updates, and support."
In the bottom, right-hand corner, there is a button that says "Validate"
*clicks the button*
At the top of the inside of the window, it says this:
"You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.
Below it, it says:
"This copy of Windows is not genuine."
Hmm...
I know the last answer was like about 6 month ago but I know the solution to install media player 11. You need to extract all the contents and patch as told in this blog:
http://fmshaon.blogspot.com/2006/11/how-to-install-windows-media-player.html
I've done it in windows though I think it should work ok in wine as this bypass the validation step to do a correct install.
Any news on this or even better on the centrafuse auto progress will be appreciated.
BTW: Hi to every, first post on the forum, willing to help.
