[Bug 11702] total annihilation runs with sound and with a black screen

I finally got around to getting out my old TA CDs today. Install went fine, the
version on the CDs is 1.1. Played a skirmish map no problem, updated to 1.3,
played another skirmish map and still no problem. My guess is that this is
either driver or hardware related since he has an 8600gt. Can someone else with
an 8800 series video card try running TA so that we can see if this bug only
happens on the 88 series.
