I just tried with wine-1.5.7 and my clock_nanosleep patch, and after the launcher updated it became blacked out as described. Completely unusable.
Can be workarounded by setting virtual desktop resolution to 800x600. Otherwise the window content will be moved or rendered black.
How do you then change the resolution of the virtual desktop once the game has launched? I play the game at my native resolution 1680x1050 in fullscreen mode with a 1680x1050 virtual desktop. How do I get that back after login?
