I have run:
 - sh winetricks directx9
 - regedit sound.reg (with your attachment in)
 - copied the XAudio2_0.dll to system32
 - patched wine with your patch and compiled

But the error remains the same.

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 (amd64).
Video card: NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
Drivers: 180.18
