[Bug 9878] Most Steam games crash when starting/loading a game

Not resolution dependent. Crashes in 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768.

This seems to be a memory corruption, at it can manifest itself differently on
every setup. And Flexo, please if you don't have this bug - good, you can
continue on playing and ignore this bug.
