That worked for me! Thank you!!!!

I'm on version 1.7.44 so maybe it is something with the installer either in
this game or in some versions of wine.

P.S. the folder I copied the sounds to is /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files/EA GAMES/American McGee's Alice/
