After quite a bit of effort on trying to work out the regression, I am starting
to suspect that this is a Linux issue - or possibly a CC3 issue - rather than a
Wine one.  Regardless of which version of Wine I compile, I get the same msi
error when I try to install CC3 - I've gone all the way back to Wine-1.3.20
trying to find a 'last-known-good' version with no success.  Given that CC3 is
supposed to install under Wine-1.5.29, I wonder whether it's worth going back
any further or whether I should be trying another tack.
