Meant to say anti-cheat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GameGuard. You can check
for yourself, you should have several files name gameguard in the program
folder.

I'm not seeing the same crash as you, either by launching flyff.exe or neuz.exe
(flyff pops up a gameguard error, and neuz exits after a few fixmes). I have a
feeling we're using different programs. Which download link are you using from
the link above/what's the md5sum? (I've got 894170aa4e02acb7a881ee87f1801b9c 
GE_V9_Install_20071113.exe)

As for your crash, can you see if a native gdi32.dll works around it?
