Bug ID: 51550 Summary: Unable to run wine at all, could not load kernel32.dll. Product: Wine Version: 6.13 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: kernel32 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: ryderjefferson@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 70391 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=70391 1. Console output after running winecfg with no .wine directory, 2. Console output of winetricks
Same error regardless of rebooting, reinstalling wine, deleting .wine directory. Same error regardless of which application I try to run through wine. Wine is unable to launch any windows applications, winecfg, or winetricks.
When running winecfg with no .wine directory, the .wine directory is created but with various errors (see attachment). When winecfg is run with an existing .wine directory, I get the last two lines of the same output (boot event wait timed out, could not load kernel32.dll).
When running winetricks, I get the same could not load kernel32.dll error as with winecfg (see attachment).
I've had this issue for just over a week now, at one point I thought the issue was fixed, as wine did work normally after a system upgrade, but it was inexplicably broken again the very next day. No subsequent upgrades have fixed it again.
