Unfortunately not. The CBReader give-away doesn't suffer from the problem which
suggests they changed the code sometime in between. ChessBase also are not
sympathetic to wine as they are worried that they'd have to support their
application on other platforms.

I'd be happy to jump on a zoom call if you wanted to take a look.

(note the issue of the scrollbar not being drawn on first display bug 47086
still exists so is unrelated to this fix)
