it is indeed a 64 bit ubuntu 7.04
'ln -s /usr/bin/locale /usr/lib32/' didn't fix the problem ...

xev works as before
/usr/bin/notepad, defaultly uses ariel-hebrew
but still, hebrew letters are ignored ...
