I have this problem with the non-Steam version of DCS World
(digitalcombatsimulator.com). It's a free download.

On Wine 10.3 and later, DCS_updater.exe reports:

A debugger has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory
and restart your program.

This happens very early during startup, so it should be easy to find.

Changing the Windows version to Windows 11 does not help. I tested this with
Wine 10.11
